Upcoming Special Events

Family Fun Days: (3rd Sunday of every month from 1-4pm) Bring in the family for some hands-on glassblowing activities. Participants can enjoy $5 off their Make-Your-Own projects during these new events. As always, the Glass Grill will be open for food/drinks all day, along with the gallery. We work with ages 5 and up. Reservations are required by email or calling the studio (410) 631-6039.

Bead/Jewelry making Flameworking Class:

These 2-day classes take place from 9am-5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $300/student. Great for ages 12 and up. This class is set-up for up to 6 students to all work on their own Minor burner torch simultaneously. Experienced flameworkers will be on hand to demonstrate techniques and how to use the equipment. They will closely instruct students throughout the day on topics to include safety, equipment, posture, and numerous glass-working techniques. By the end of the session, you will have dozens of beads that can be used in making bracelets, necklaces, ear rings, etc... You will leave the course with the basic flameworking skills necessary to practice on your own either here at the studio or at your own home.  Call Ahead to Reserve Your Space (410)631-6039 or email mcfaddenartglass@yahoo.com.  We also offer Flameworking Private Instructional classes for those interested in one-on-one skill building with an experienced instructor. These classes cost $40/hour, which includes your materials and everything.

Instructional Glassblowing Classes: Spaces now available for 4-week beginner classes. Classes take place once a week on Monday-Thursday nights from 6-9pm. Classes are small for more hands-on learning and creating. More information on the Instructional Classes page on the left.

Beginner Glassblowing Workshops: These workshops take place every Saturday between 3-6pm. They are designed as an introduction to glassblowing through creating your own glass objects, including paperweights, ornaments, necklace pendants, flowers, bowls, vases, etc... Costs are based on a per piece basis. All ages are encouraged. Events are open to the public, but RSVP is required. You can RSVP by calling the studio (410)631-6039 or sending an email to mcfaddenartglass@yahoo.com.

"Date Night"-  First and Third Fridays of every month, 7-10pm. Bring a date or a friend by the studio for some free entertainment. Artists will be demonstrating whatever  forms the audience would like to see, including functional and sculptural glassware. Also, attendees will have the opportunity to make necklace pendants, flowers, ornaments, etc... if they'd like for a small fee. In addition, the Glass Grill Restaurant/Bar is located on-site and offers great food and drink specials during the event and throughout the rest of the night. RSVP encouraged, but not required.

This was an installation at the Visitor's Center located along Baltimore's Inner Harbor. I took it down a little while ago, so you can't visit it anymore. However, the pieces have been relocated to the Glass Grill.
We are located at 6800 Eastern Avenue in east Baltimore, MD. On location, there is a studio for hot glassblowing where demonstrations,  interactive group tours, weekend  workshops, instructional classes, field trips, private parties and lessons, studio rentals, and special events are offered.  In addition, there is a beautiful gallery exhibiting exquisite glass art, along with gifts for all ages.  Please email mcfaddenartglass@yahoo.com if you would like to register for classes or schedule parties and field trips or to receive notice as new upcoming events approach.
