NEW Bead/Jewelry making Flameworking Class: These 2-day classes take place from 9am-5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $300/student. Great for ages 12 and up. This class is set-up for up to 6 students to all work on their own Minor burner torch simultaneously. Experienced flameworkers will be on hand to demonstrate techniques and how to use the equipment. They will closely instruct students throughout the day on topics to include safety, equipment, posture, and numerous glass-working techniques. By the end of the session, you will have dozens of beads that can be used in making bracelets, necklaces, ear rings, etc... You will leave the course with the basic flameworking skills necessary to practice on your own either here at the studio or at your own home. Instructional Glassblowing Classes: Spaces now available for 4-week beginner classes. Classes take place once a week on Monday-Thursday nights from 6-9pm. Classes are small for more hands-on learning and creating. More information on the Instructional Classes page on the left.
Beginner Glassblowing Workshops: These workshops take place every Saturday between 3-6pm. They are designed as an introduction to glassblowing through creating your own glass objects, including paperweights, ornaments, necklace pendants, flowers, bowls, vases, etc... Costs are based on a per piece basis. All ages are encouraged. Events are open to the public, but RSVP is required. "Date Night"- (We will not be holding the event this coming Friday, August 20th, due to the equipment being turned off for the week for maintenance. Date Nights will resume on Friday Sept. 3rd) First and Third Fridays of every month, 7-10pm. Bring a date or a friend by the studio for some free entertainment. Artists will be demonstrating whatever forms the audience would like to see, including functional and sculptural glassware. Also, attendees will have the opportunity to make necklace pendants, flowers, ornaments, etc... if they'd like for a small fee. In addition, the Glass Grill Restaurant/Bar is located on-site and offers great food and drink specials during the event and throughout the rest of the night. RSVP encouraged, but not required.
The Glass Grill Restaurant/Bar:
The Glass Grill is open to the public. They are open for lunch everyday at 11am and stay open until 12am most nights and 2am on the weekends.
